Through the hard work and vision of BBC Radio Presenter Tony Gillham, a dream became a reality and in 2007 Black Cat Community Radio was born.
Having been in the business for over 30 years Tony wanted a radio station for the community run by people from the community.
With hard work and a his own money, Tony, with loads of help from his pal Leasy and a lot of understanding from his partner Judy, they built two state of the art Radio studios and kitted them out to the highest specification.
From there Tony recruited volounteers and he trained and mentored this new talent to help him start Black Cat Radio via the internet. We are now broadcasting 24 hours, 7 days a week.
The next step is to obtain an RSL Licence from OFCOM that will enable Black Cat to broadcast from Huntingdon to St.Neots (and all the bits in between)on a recognised FM frequency.
